Feeling Low? 3 Questions That Made Me Feel Privileged and Grateful

Feelings of anxiousness can be a common occurrence. I for one, am not a fan of it.

Personally, I should be grateful because I have far less problems than most people do and I have things that, I, as a child yearned for.

This isn't to discount the things I feel, but rather realize that there are things that I also am happy for.

Here are 3 Questions that help me realize that:

1. How Badly Did I Want What I Have Now?

As a kid, I've always wanted a lot of things. One can thank brilliant marketing for it.

As I look at myself today, there are a few things that can say the word 'privilege' with a capital P. Sometimes, we're so lost looking for more things, we fail to stop and appreciate what we already have.

When you imagine life without those things, you learn to appreciate them and be content.

2. What Are The Things Someone Would Envy Me For?

The grass is always greener on the other side. Whether that's true or not, envy is real.

I've often been asked how I maintain a balance of doing different things in a day (beyond work).

3. What Am I Grateful For?

Answering this question honestly will make you realize how much you have in life that you could be taking for granted.

Something as simple as a place to live, eat good food, meet friends and have an active life are things that a lot of people aren't fortunate to have.

When I view things from this perspective, it makes me realize, while I do have problems, I have a lot to be grateful for.
