The 3 Phases of overcoming Analysis Paralysis - Starting your Creative Journey

We're full of great ideas. Analyzing these great ideas paralyzes us from taking action.

“Never confuse movement with action.” ― Ernest Hemingway

Analysis paralysis is when inaction prevails action. Quite often, we mistake overthinking of our ideas as action. This is what separates a creator from a consumer.

Fortunately, there are ways to overcome this.

Once you identify the 3 Phases with yourself, you'll be able to take action.

Phase 1: Let bad ideas die. Focus on the good ones.

From your list of ideas, work on the best ones. Let the rest die (completely)

You'll have an intuition as to what's great and what's okay.

Focus on the great ones. Your attention is precious. The lesser you divide your attention, the better the quality of your work.

Phase 2: Crush your Ego. Just Create!

When you begin, you have nothing to lose.

What will people say?!

Trust me, people aren't paying attention (yet).

Most people think everyone's paying attention to them. Truth is, everyone's thinking the same thing; ironically, they're thinking about themselves too.

When you're at zero, you have true freedom. Make the most of it!

Phase 3: P(reach) what you Practice

Now that you're taking action, tell the world. Why?

By sharing your work through conversations and the internet, you:

  • Reinforce your thoughts

  • Gain clarity and confidence

  • Build a brand

“Now go, and make interesting mistakes. Make Interesting. Mistakes. Make glorious and fantastic mistakes. Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for you being here. Make good art.” ― Neil Gaiman
